Aviva Gibbs, a public affairs professional, has served as the Executive Director of ITP since its founding in January, 2008. In this role, Aviva is building a coalition of technology leaders and consumers to sensibly connect fast-paced emerging technologies to the public policies that regulate them. For several years prior, Aviva served as chief of staff to the Hon. John Fritchey (D-Chicago). As the State Representative’s liaison, she oversaw all legislative and community affairs, managing interaction with news media, intergovernmental affairs, and local organizations and leaders. A long-time tech enthusiast, Aviva also serves on the board of the Latino Technology Association and the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity’s (DCEO) IT Task Force. Aviva has a Bachelor of Arts with High Honors from the University of Michigan, and is a candidate for a Master of Science in Public Services Management at DePaul University.
